Held on Sunday 27 June at Christie Park, 50 teams in total, with 6 teams (2xU8, 3xU9 and 1xU10) from Normo participating.  Alas, none of the Normo teams made the finals.

With no coaching permitted from the sidelines, with goals against awarded if not adhered to, the players had to show what they could do, organising themselves on the field, and putting all that they have learnt over the past few years or so into practice, without parental supervision.  It was a breath of fresh air.  The U13 GHFA Academy players took the roles as referee.

Without constant spectator commentary, it was a joy to watch the matches, with polite Chairman Mao type clapping from the sidelines.  All teams entered in to the spirit, and long may it continue.

A great initiative from the GHFA, well done.
