FFA Concussion Guidelines
NEFC strongly recommends adherence to the FFA Concussions Guidelines following any head related injury during football or football related activity.
At an absolute minimum we would recommend that:

Injury claim forms are now completed online through the claims portal on the FNSW Insurance website. The online claim process enables claimants to apply and upload documents and receipts online for quicker processing.
FFA Concussion Guidelines
NEFC strongly recommends adherence to the FFA Concussions Guidelines following any head related injury during football or football related activity.
At an absolute minimum we would recommend that:
- Any player with a suspected concussion be immediately removed from play and should not return until assessed by a qualified medical practioner.
- There should be no return to play on the day of a concussive injury
- There should be no return to competitive play for a minimum of 6 days after the injury and a player should progress through a graduated return to play program that slowly increases the amount of activity at a controlled pace.
- In the case of U18 and below players, the club requires written consent for the player to return to play after a concussive head injury.

- Playing in official matches sanctioned by the association and club
- Engaged in organised training and Practice
- Traveling directly to, from or between official matches or training and your home or work.
- Staying away from your home district for the purpose of participating in representative or club matches
- Engaged in administrative or organised social activities for your club or Federation.
